The students of the Official Master’s Degree in Journalism and Innovation of Digital Content of the Department of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) present their book “Los nadie. El storytelling de los invisibles” (The nobodies. The storytelling of the invisible”, written as part of the course ‘Digital strategy and positioning of digital content’, under the direction of Professor Santiago Tejedor, who also directs the Gabinete de Comunicación y Educación. Inspired by the poem Los nadies by Eduardo Galeano, the book compiles and analyses the storytelling and digital ecosystem of different initiatives, groups and/or collectives that have been made invisible.

“The different chapters of the book address different examples to analyse them from the point of view of their storytelling, their digital ecosystem and their main resources to tell who they are and what they do. It is a collection of case studies, not intended to be exhaustive, chosen within the framework of our subject based on different debates between students and teachers who have accompanied this process. It is, therefore, a book open to the incorporation of more and more examples. The list of these ‘nobodies’ is unfortunately not short. And it would be enough for one, two… for many other books”, says the introduction.

The book has a foreword written by Arcadi Oliveres, professor and economist, weeks before his death. “A very special gift. They are, without a doubt, magical lines that come from a defender and activist of democracy, human rights and peace in all its dimensions”, says Santiago Tejedor, director of the Department of Journalism and Communication Sciences and the Gabinete de Comunicación y Educación, in his introductory text.
