<p>The <strong><a href="http://frontera-cronica.gabinetecomunicacionyeducacion.com">Frontera Crónica</a></strong> project publishes &#8220;<strong><a href="http://frontera-cronica.gabinetecomunicacionyeducacion.com/libro/">Frontera Crónica: Workshop on cross-border journalism and co-creation for the promotion of a critical view and the construction of other narratives on violence, women and migration</a></strong>&#8220;, a <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">multimedia book</mark></strong> with the final conclusions of the project.</p>

<p>The text brings together <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">seventeen writers, journalists and researchers who reflect on borders, migrations, violence and social differences in border spaces and the transgressive capacity of journalistic activity</mark></strong>. With a <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">prologue by the chronicler Martín Caparrós</mark></strong> and an <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">introduction by</mark> <a href="http://www.santiagotejedor.com">Santiago Tejedor</a></strong>, director of the <strong><a href="https://www.gabinetecomunicacionyeducacion.com/es">Gabinete de Comunicación y Educación</a></strong> of the <strong><a href="https://www.uab.cat/web/universitat-autonoma-de-barcelona-1345467954774.html">Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona</a></strong> (UAB), the book also presents an <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">interactive map</mark></strong> with information on Ibero-American projects and initiatives that work in defence of a more ethical journalism, as well as the resources on which the project was initially based and all the conferences and workshops in which the team of researchers have participated.</p>

<p>The aim of this initiative, promoted by the <strong><a href="https://www.gabinetecomunicacionyeducacion.com/es">Gabinete de Comunicación y Educación</a></strong> in collaboration with the <strong><a href="https://fundaciongabo.org/es">Gabo Journalism Foundation</a></strong>, the <strong><a href="https://www.uabc.mx/en/">Universidad Autónoma de Baja California</a></strong> (Tijuana) and the Mexican journalists&#8217; network <strong><a href="https://www.cndh.org.mx/palabras-clave/5221/colectivo-yo-si-soy-periodista">&#8220;Yo sí soy periodista&#8221;</a></strong> (&#8220;Yes, I am a journalist&#8221;), is to <mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color"><strong>recognise the work of journalists in scenarios of violence</strong>, to <strong>propose new narratives around borders marked by migration and violence</strong>, <strong>to provide Mexican journalists working on the US border with a directory of resources and platforms</strong></mark> to improve their stories and contents, to <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">generate a citizen commitment</mark></strong> interested in knowing other types of narratives on migration, to <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#06244e" class="has-inline-color">raise awareness among university students in Mexico and at UAB</mark></strong> about social problems and to promote media literacy in journalistic and non-journalistic scenarios.</p>
