<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The project <strong><a href="https://omedialiteracy.univie.ac.at">&#8220;Omedialiteracy: Overview of the challenges and opportunities of media literacy in Europe&#8221;</a></strong> publishes <strong><a href="https://omedialiteracy.univie.ac.at/publications-and-downloads/">&#8220;Documenting Misinformation Policies In Europe: A Report&#8221;</a></strong>, a compilation of current policies on media literacy<strong> </strong>and the fight against misinformation in Europe.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The work has been prepared by the research team of the <strong><a href="https://www.gabinetecomunicacionyeducacion.com/es">Gabinete de Comunicación y Educación</a></strong> of the <strong><a href="https://www.uab.cat/web/universitat-autonoma-de-barcelona-1345467954774.html">Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona</a></strong> (UAB), in collaboration with the <strong><a href="https://www.unl.pt/en">Universidade NOVA de Lisboa</a></strong>, the <strong><a href="https://www.univie.ac.at/en/">University of Vienna</a></strong> and the <strong><a href="https://vu.nl/nl">Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam</a></strong>. It presents <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#03264a" class="has-inline-color">an analytical study of the main regulations and policies on media literacy and the fight against disinformation in the European Union</mark></strong>. The document is divided into <strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#03264a" class="has-inline-color">five main sections</mark></strong>: the first deals with the general normative framework on disinformation and media literacy in the world and in the European Union, and the following four sections analyse policy strategies in each of the countries participating in the study.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The text concludes with the need to develop further strategies that media literacy involves all sectors of society beyond educational and media interest groups and the importance of defining evaluation protocols for such strategies in order to collect data on their impact and future replication.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The document is now available free of charge on the official <strong><a href="https://omedialiteracy.univie.ac.at/publications-and-downloads/">Omedialiteracy website</a></strong>.
